Support the “Transit Ready Corridors” in Tampa’s Future Land Use (FLU) Update!

After delays to comply with new State law, the Planning Commission has announced virtual meetings with the latest updates on proposed plan language Tuesday September 29th at 6 pm (Register here) and Friday October 9 at 12:00 pm (Register here). More background from the February City Council meeting here.

A public adoption hearing on the plan will then be held October 22 at 5:00 pm in Old City Hall, 315 E. Kennedy Blvd., downtown Tampa.

The main message you can send at these meetings: Keep all the Transit Ready Corridors recently added back into the plan to support more homes near transit and roads ready for future transit – many neighborhoods spoke up to get these housing allowances back into the proposed plan after they were initially removed, but we’ve heard some individuals may still show up to get them removed again, so let’s back them up to make sure the changes get adopted.

If you can’t make the hearing or don’t want to speak at the mic, you can always email City Council at this address: tampacitycouncil@tampagov.net
